The Matakana markets really do have something for everyone. Adults enjoy the delicious produce available for both immediate consumption and taking home. Kids will be amazed by the dog sitting stand, filled with dogs of all sizes and breeds. It's a quite a comical sight to see!

If you head to the rivers edge you’ll catch a glimpse of some impressively fat eels. They're not shy, swimming up to check you out and see if you have any food to share. Live music adds to the overall ambience and bustling vibe of this popular destination. We recommend arriving early to avoid the day tripper crowds, the coffee machine will be up and running.
